The Book Cellar
If you live in Chicago and you don't already know about 2nd Story, you should. It's an amazing collective of folks that "believes in the power of storytelling to change the world." They deal in storytelling in all its aspects, but mostly as an art that works in conjunction with, but often transcends, the page. Now, with the help of Elephant Rock Books, comes this totally rad anthology. Briefly Knocked Unconscious by a Low-Flying Duck: Stories from 2nd Story draws from 10 years of 2nd Story performances to bring you 23 of the best. These stories are funny or raw or sad or all of the above, often provoking tears of every variety. We recommend we read them aloud to your friends....
But wait! First, you have to hear three of the contributors read (perform) their pieces at Book Cellar!
