Joan Younger Meek, MD, MS, RD, FAAP, IBCLC, is a board-certified pediatrician, registered dietician, and international board-certified lactation consultant. She chairs the Section on Breastfeeding of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her previous roles include serving as president of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine and chair of the United States Breastfeeding Committee.
